We do not recommend letting your colored stone jewelry come in
contact with heat, detergents or chemicals. Never let your
jewelry come in contact with chlorine bleach. It can pit and discolor
the mounting and may ruin the stone. Avoid salt water.

If you use a jewelry cleaner, read the directions very carefully
to make sure it is recommended for the particular stone you are
cleaning. Jeweler's Secret (TM) is safe toothbrush to dislodge dirt in crevices.

Take off your jewelry when
doing chores or rough work. If you have an active lifestyle, take
extra precautions with some type of gemstones. Emeralds, for example,
are brittle and should not be worn when doing household chores or any
other activity where the stone could chip, abrade or scratch if you
subject.
-
Keep your jewelry in a fabric-lined jewelry box or wrap pieces
individually so they will not scratch each other. Keep your jewelry in
a clean, dry place.
-
Don't jumble your jewelry
pieces in a drawer or jewelry case. Pieces can scratch each other.
-
Be careful when removing
your jewelry to wash your hands. Do not leave your jewelry on the rim
of the sink where it can easily slip down the drain.
